For years, we were somehow everywhere at the same time - circling the same city, moving through the same rooms, sharing the same orbit without ever actually meeting. The universe clearly had a plan.

When we finally met, it wasn’t across a crowded room or at a candlelit dinner. It was on a Zoom call. Cameras on. Agenda attached. Romance…pending. And yet, even through a screen, something landed. A spark, that unmistakable feeling of Wait— how has this not happened before? Of all the places for fate to finally intervene, it chose a work meeting. (Very on brand.)

What followed wasn’t fireworks or grand declarations; it was something better. A follow-up lunch meeting somehow turned into drinks, dinner, and “just one more.” It became clear this wasn’t a coincidence; it was momentum. Two people who had lived full lives, finally crossing paths at exactly the right moment, ready not just to fall, but to choose.

From there, life expanded quickly and beautifully. We traveled, built a home, collected stories, and eventually welcomed a very beloved (and very cute) Cavapoo named Teddy into the mix. What might have felt fast to the outside world felt steady and certain to us, like something long delayed finally clicking into place.

Kevin proposed on the beach in Santa Barbara on May 10, 2025, a place that has quietly marked some of our most meaningful moments. It represents so much of what we love: beauty, intention, ease, and a sense of celebration. Bacara feels like a natural continuation of that story. We’re getting married on a date that carries deep meaning for our family, in a place that feels both grounding and joyful.

Sometimes love doesn’t arrive early. Sometimes it logs on right on time - fully formed, unmistakably sure, and ready to begin.
